Lanett Tachel is an actress/writer who hails from Prince George's County Maryland. She studied Theatre Arts and received her BFA from Howard University. After performing on stages in the DC Metropolitan area and touring as the lead character in ‘THE BLUEST EYE’ in the Dominican Republic, she moved to Los Angeles, CA and has split her time between performing on screen for both film and television.  Lanett is often cast as “the funny girl—who’s cute" and while those roles have been her signature, her recent roles in horror, suspense, and dramas show the audience an entirely different side.  

Lanett's theatrical debut was as THE QUIRKY, MOTOR-MOUTHED Wednesday in the 2015 feature film 'SISTER CODE', directed by Corey Grant. SHE FOLLOWED THAT ROLE WITH A  supporting  role as 'Aquino'  in the award winning, 'LOVE ADDICT'  by Charis Orchard. LANETT also played the comedic character of Shenita in 'THE FAUX SHOW' alongside Tiffany Haddish,  Kim Coles and Erika Alexander. Lanett Is especially excited for viewers to see her portray the role of 'Coco' in the erotically thrilling true story of 'The Providers,' directed by talented "Queen Sugar' writer, Denise Harkavy. 

Another true story lanett is looking forward to debuting is entitled, 'the virgin michael' in which she plays the promiscuous, straight shooter-Keisha. this story  will be the directorial deubut of george lucas scholarship recipient, jonathan curtiss (2018)

Lanett can be seen most recently as the No-Nonsense cop on Lifetime's 'PSYCHO BROTHER IN LAW.' (2018) You can also catch her on Netflix as the comedic character TAI, in the Suspense/Thriller -ILLICIT which she co-wrote and produced, starring alongside Vivica Fox and Dean Cain.

Stay tuned for her character Stefanie in the new horror film produced by James Cullen Bressack, 'FOR JENNIFER' this  2018. And look out for her on Sci-FI this summer  2018 as 'khaiah,' the tough as nails, ex-army character in 'SURROUNDED', a suspense/drama.

Most currently, Lanett is starring in pilot episodes of a family sitcom, 'THE WALDONS' along with co-starVincent Ward, which is scheduled to air late 2018. 

Lanett Tachel continues to prove that she is The Little Engine That Could with no plans of stopping. she hopes you join along for the ride.
